Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Shalom, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Shalom after changes means you accept the revised terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use Shalom.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile truthful.
Each person may only maintain one account. Impersonation, fake profiles, or misrepresentation of identity is prohibited.

To help keep the community safe, Shalom may require identity verification, including a government-issued photo ID and photo review, before you can access matching or messaging.
We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove any account that fails verification, appears fraudulent, or violates these terms.
Verification is a safety measure, not a guarantee of any member's background, character, or intentions. Use your own judgment when interacting with others.

Shalom provides curated introductions based on the information you provide. We do not guarantee compatibility, chemistry, or any particular outcome from a match.
You may receive a limited number of introductions over time. Passing on a match is permanent and that member will not be resurfaced to you.
Compatibility explanations are generated for your consideration only and do not constitute professional relationship advice.

Messaging becomes available only when two members have mutually expressed interest.
You agree to communicate respectfully. Harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, solicitation, fraud, scams, sexually explicit content, and abusive behavior are strictly prohibited.
Do not share another member's personal information, messages, or photos without their permission.
We may review reported messages and take action, including suspending or terminating accounts, when we believe a violation has occurred.

You may not post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or that infringes on the rights of others.
You may not use Shalom for commercial solicitation, pyramid schemes, escort services, or any purpose other than genuine Jewish dating.
You may not attempt to circumvent our safety, verification, or matching systems, or scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the platform.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these terms or for the safety of the community.
Shalom is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' We make no warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet any specific result.
To the extent permitted by law, Shalom and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service or interactions with other members.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
